Superior Products has a history of successful projects and long-term relationships with our customers. In fact, we conducted a survey of our customers in 2008, and the top two words they used to describe us were “professional” and “quality work.”
Frankly, we think this is the best endorsement you can get. Our work also speaks for itself, and has garnered not only the satisfaction of our customers, but has won awards as well.

The Challenges
After winning a legal settlement with a previous contractor who used “Liquid Siding,” the owners of this 10-year-old, cedar-sided home needed a significant facelift. The Liquid Siding had changed the rich tones of the cedar to a pinkish tinge, and also created moisture penetrations on the north side of the house, resulting in potential water damage. In addition to the problems with the Liquid Siding, this home had a front porch area that not only looked dated, but was uninviting and not at all designed for outdoor living.
The Solutions
Superior Products’ team handled replacement of all gable and wall siding using textured fiber cement siding over energy-efficient insulation and home wrap. They also added architectural diagonal cuts on the north side of the home. Stonework included adding a wainscot around the home perimeter, front support posts to hide the downspouts, and full wall areas designed by the homeowner.
Superior Products also removed two, non-structural front post supports and the existing rotted wood decking and rail system, and rebuilt the decking system. The front porch area also underwent a replacement of all fascia and soffit with fiber cement siding, and a high-value gutter system.
Final work included coordination of installation of materials with the landscape architect and landscape contractor on the redesign of the front porch area for functional outdoor living, and building a shed behind the house to store gardening and lawn care tools and equipment.
The Result
- This exterior remodel took first place in the 2008 CARE Awards (Colorado Awards for Remodeling Excellence) for “Exterior Remodel.”
- The owners of this home are thrilled to have a spruced up home that well matches surrounding, newer high-end homes.

The Challenges
This home featured weathered pine siding that had taken severe damage from an industrious wood pecker. In addition, a weathered, rotted decking and rail system diminished the curb appeal of the home and posed potential safety hazards.
The Solutions
Superior Products replaced all gable and wall siding using textured fiber cement with a 7-inch reveal over energy-efficient insulation and home wrap, and designed a new color palette to complement the roofing, stone work and surrounding landscape.
For safety and aesthetics, the Superior team reinforced and the repaired the decking support structure to comply with current code. Once that was done, new composite decking materials with decorative metal balusters were installed. Additional project coordination included work with landscape and stone mason contractors to finish out the project.
The Results
- In 2008, this project was awarded a First-Place CARE Award (Colorado Awards for Remodeling Excellence) for “Exterior Remodeling – Siding.”
- The owners of this home have a new, vibrant, and functional outdoor living space – and safety concerns about the structural integrity of the deck have been eliminated.

Challenges
The owners of this home had looked for a new home for nine months, and ultimately decided to stay where they were and remodel their existing home. Key complaints that were addressed in the remodel included the fact that the home had no strong curb appeal, no architectural “pop,” no dimension, and no mountain views.
The Solutions
For the front of the home, Superior Products replaced all gable and wall siding with “beaded/textured” fiber cement over energy-efficient insulation and home wrap. They also built and installed a custom front trellis, and custom board-and-batt shutters. Dated rectangular vents were replaced with a more interesting octagon design, and additional dimensional gable fascia and custom cross-head window trim was added.
For the homes’ master bedroom and study, the Superior team added a French door in master bedroom to create a mountain view, as well as a “Juliet” balcony with custom balusters. Custom board-and-batt shutters were added too, along with cutting in a new window in the west-facing, upper-level study, and a new, north-facing bay window in the master bedroom. In addition, windows and doors were installed for increased energy efficiency.
The Results
- This home went from basic to stunning in its curb appeal.
- The remodel featured engineered Craftsman-style detailing designed to make the house more inviting and striking at a distance.
- Inside, the home was significantly enhanced with beautiful mountain views and more natural light flooding the master bedroom and upper-level home office.

Challenges
This suburban home featured a light color palette without much impact or curb appeal. In addition, the backyard featured a very small deck and a variety of other activities that needed to be accommodated, such as hot tubbing, sunning, and outdoor dining.
The Solutions
This project featured a combination of fiber cement siding, Tuff-R Insulation, a new gutter system, fascia, soffit, composite decking and three new French patio doors. The entire house was re-sided with one consistent color with white trim to tie the whole house together. In the back, one small deck was replaced with a larger, upper-level deck off the master bedroom, and a lower, ground-level deck was built directly off the kitchen area. For the lower level deck, French doors were cut in, allowing for easy access from the kitchen to transition from indoor to outdoor dining. The two new decks allow for even more outdoor living opportunities, and visually balance each other.
The Results
The homeowners are ecstatic with the highly increased curb appeal of the house, as well as the new, multi-level decking system in the back of the house that allows for far more opportunities for outdoor living, and enjoying Colorado’s 300+ days of sunshine per year.
